Flight paths to become ad space

The fight paths in and out of the world’s busiest airports are to be converted into giant advertising spaces. This will be solely for the passengers in the window seats of incoming and outgoing aircraft.

The idea is from start up business Ad-Air, who has financial backing in place to the tune of £5 million. They plan to place the adverts which will be around 20,000 square metres in size, on the ground which runs parallel with the flight paths.

There are plans for up to thirty airports to become involved in this scheme, these will include, London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Los Angeles International, Chicago O’Hare and Tokyo Narita. However the airport to have this type of advertising first of all is Dubai. The advert will be for a real estate developer and it will be launched in October.
