The end of handwriting

How often do you actually sit down and write something? According to recent research it is not very often, a decade ago, we would have been send letters, cards and writing down notes to remind us of what to buy at the shops, but with the increased use of the internet and computers, is handwriting dying.

We have come to rely on technology to serve out writing needs; we send emails instead of short notes, apply for jobs online and even do our shopping over the internet. This has meant that the actual physical act of writing is barely being used these days.

Even at schools the use of computers is becoming so wide spread that eventually they will be using their own personal laptop for virtually all of their work throughout schooling, when this happens then the art of handwriting will be on its last legs.
