Parents invest in GPS for kids

A satellite tracking device is being launched today, it is expected that the Nu.M8 watch is going to be a winner with concerned parents who will be able to keep tabs on their children and in fact track their movements down to within ten feet.

The device uses technology similar that used by in car sat nav devices and it will even alert the system if the device has been removed by force.

Parents can monitor their children’s whereabouts via the company website, they can even plot in safe zones where they children can go and should they stray out of these zones then they are alerted by a message sent to the parent’s mobile phone.

The watch has a price tag of around £150 and there is an up to £20 per month subscription fee depending of which level of service is used.
