Two year olds addicted to TV

A nationwide screening programme of two year olds is being planned because there are reports that many children in that age group are suffering from speech problems, but at the same time are addicted to watching the TV.

This is being blamed on the long hours that parents are working and poor childcare which offers very little stimulation, along with those children who are bring brought up in socially deprived situations.

It is shocking to find that less than ten per cent of children in this age group can actually repeat a commonly known nursery rhyme and in some even more extreme circumstances some children did not even know their own name.
