Thai police to wear smiley masks

In Asia pollution on the streets can reach levels, which are just very wrong to work in, yet the traffic do so on a daily basis. However, in Thailand the motorcycle cops have to resort to wearing anti pollution masks, which ordinarily would make them look even scarier.

So to reduce the impact these mask wearing cops, they have had bright red smiles painted onto them, it makes them a look a clownish, but it certainly breaks up the monotony of being struck in the rush hour traffic jams.

The police say that the smile mask is infectious, as some drivers have been responding by returning a smile back, unfortunately they should realise that the smile is only on a mask and not a reflection of the person underneath.
