Otters roaming the streets

There was a time when the only animals found on the streets of cities and towns were cats, dogs and rodents, but these days the easy access to waste food and other delights is attracting animals that would normally be expected to be seen in the country.

One surprising visitor to the streets is the otter, this is an animal that at one time was virtually extinct and yet they have now found them way into the urban areas along with the foxes and other visitors that like easy pickings.

It is unusual to see an otter feeding on leftovers in Birmingham, London and Manchester, in fact otters are well established in around thirteen towns and cities around the UK, as well as less frequent visits to over a hundred other places.
