Oprah still entertainments most powerful woman

In the states, they have what is known as the “Power 100 List” these are movers and shakers within the entertainment industry and surprisingly the person at the top of the woman’s list is Oprah Winfrey.

No matter what anyone thinks of her, she has been around or rather her show has been around for some twenty two years ago, she has also appeared in several films and other TV shows.

The top five are:

1. Oprah Winfrey, chairman of Harpo Inc.

2. Anne Sweeney, president of Disney-ABC Television Group and co-chairman of Disney Media Networks

3. Amy Pascal, chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group and co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment

4. Nancy Tellem, president of CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group

5. Stacey Snider, co-chairman and CEO of DreamWorks

It is a surprise that some of the more powerful actresses like Angelina Jolie are not right up there, she comes at number twenty four.
