Solar panel theft on the increase

In the US, there is a growing crime wave, which could begin to take hold over here, thieves would normally want to steal something that is easy to steal and that they know is a growing market for so that they can get a good price for.

In this case, the target product is solar panels, they have a high value and in many are cases they are easy to steal because sometimes they are placed on the ground, even when they are located on the roof of the building they are not safe from being stolen.

The other thing in the favour of solar panels as a prime target for thieves is the cost, solar panels are expensive to buy, they can cost anything from £500 for a small model and upwards when it comes to the more sophisticated installations.

Owners should be aware of this threat and make sure that their installation is secure.
