Hearing affected by iPods

It seems that just by taking a quick look around during the rush hour, the amount of people using an iPods and of course other Mp3 players runs into thousands and yet it has been found that many of these people could be damaging their hearing permanently.

An EU scientific committee has found through their research that around ten per cent of all iPod and Mp3 users throughout Europe could be risking their hearing if they listen to their favourite music for more than one hour a day over a time period of five years.

This works out at about ten million Europeans, the problem is that they have the music far too load, which may sound like something your parents always said, but because this music is played directly into the ear, the risks are a lot higher, then listening to music through a speaker.
