Simpsons in their 20th season

This may not seem to be anything spectacular but twenty seasons is something special when it comes to long running series in the US and surprisingly not many programmes have actually made it that far either.

The last long running series to attain this accolade was the western series “Gunsmoke” for anyone who can actually remember that!

However, this weekend will see the start of the twentieth season for the yellow people and considering that this is an animation is something special. Nevertheless, it is not so much the programme that keeps it going it has to be down to the content.

Virtually every episode runs with either current news or celebrity story, which is done in such a way that the message gets across but in a humorous manner, Homer for President anyone!
