Yoda not allowed on FaceBook

This is just one of those times when your name can be a distinct disadvantage, imagine trying to open an account with a social networking site and after enter your name the site pops up with an error message.

Well this particular person is from Japan and is named Hiroko Yoda, yes and that is why she believes that she is unable to open an account on FaceBook.

She contacted FaceBook who confirmed that Yoda had been placed on a name blacklist, this is because there have been so many applications in that name before; the policy of the site is that members can only sign up with their real name.

However, it seems that Yoda is a fairly common name in Japan and it seems that FaceBook have now removed Yoda from the blacklist.
