Now it’s Friends the Movie

There is a lot to say about the film and TV industry when one old show brings out a film version of the small screen show, they all begin to follow. Before long the cinemas are looking like a giant TV listings page with familiar names heading up the casts and titles that should not really be there at all grabbing all of the media attention.

The recent launch of the Sex and the City film was such a success that other long running series have seen the light. The latest one to be thinking of returning for a big screen comeback is Friends; the TV series finished around four years ago, and should be ripe for a return.

So far the Sex and the City film is estimated to have made $300 million, which is a good enough incentive for any cast to forget the reasons why the show finished and make a comeback. Of course this rarely happens with UK series, Crossroads the Movie just doesn’t seem to have the same ring.
