Investing in drink

Most people like a drink every now and then, even if it is just a tipple at Christmas, but sometimes there is the occasion to splash out, like weddings, winning the lottery and maybe even getting a pay rise. So if money were no object what type of bottle could you buy then?

Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac Grande Champagne - £1,000,000 ($1,946,617)
La Ley del Diamante (the Diamond Sterling) Tequila - €1.000.000 ($1,547,880)
DIVA Premium Vodka - $1,060,000
Nun’s Island, Galway Distillery, 20-Year-Old Pure Pot Still Whisky and Nun’s Island, Galway Distillery, 25-Year-Old Pure Pot Still Whisky - £100,000 ($194,661)
Wray and Nephew Rum - £26,000 ($50,638)

Naturally all of these brands have their excuses for demanding such a premium on their products, but who in fact would even dare to open up a million pound bottle of brandy?
