Earth waits for alien reply in 2015

It was back in 1983 when the Japanese astronomers Hisashi Hirabayashi and Masaki Morimoto sent a message to the Altair solar system, this would have reached the target location in 1999 and so if there was any life there and they did actually hit the reply button the message should reach earth by 2015!

Of course the aliens may be a life sucking breed and launched their colonisation force, in which case we have five of six years for freedom left. The other alternative if that the message that is returned says something this:

“I am out of the office at the moment…………”

Whatever the outcome, if there is life out there, maybe they all ready know and if they have studied a culture and history, they would be sensible enough to stay away.
