Plans for the end of the world

Planning for the end of the world is not the sort of thing that fills people with confidence about the future of mankind and life on this planet. But never the less this plan is still going ahead and unlike any other idea before, as this ark will be on the moon. Plans for this were discussed at a conference held in Strasbourg last month.

The ark will be placed just under the lunar service and will contain information that the survivors of a nuclear holocaust or a possible asteroid strike which could cause some serious damage and affect all life on Earth. The data stored will be available via remote control which is routed through heavily protected transmitters.

The data would provide the survivors with information on how to produce metals, plant crops and details of DNA structures etc. further plans could see microbes, embryos and seeds stored up there. This is the idea of the European Space Agency (ESA) who has plans to achieve this goal later than 2020; the ark would have a life span of around thirty years and could be expanded even further.
