Cake eating man dies

If this was not so serious, it could have been a scene from a TV comedy, but this is in fact a very serious matter which has resulted in the death of a man out for a fun evening with friends at a night club in Swansea.

Towards the end of the night, the club which was running a party that had been organised to raise funds for an art exhibition announced that they would be holding a competition, where the object was to eat as many fairy cakes as possible; the person who ate the most would be the winner.

However it was tragic circumstances that brought the competition to an end when the man collapsed and despite the staff of the club frantically trying to revive the man, they could not. The police have investigated the party and circumstances into the death of the man, but have no evidence of a suspicious nature.
